Dreaming of Summer

Sitting here in a sunny window (with 6 inches of snow outside) made me start dreaming of warm summer days. Below are some pictures that added to my dreamscape.

New Commitments

Most people call them New Year's resolutions, but I have decided to call them New Commitments. This is mainly because like most people I tend not to keep resolutions. So last night I spent some time talking to my daughter Katy about the things I want and need to do this year to grow my business . I do have to say that I had a nice increase in business in 2009, but I know that there are so many more things I can and need to do in a proactive way to have a more successful shop this year and in the years to come.

Because I have a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology, I am well aware that a positive frame of mind is an important aspect in this whole process. That is why I moved back home to Kentucky six months ago and have been spending time reflecting and growing. I am now going to attempt to overcome some of my computer insecurities and forge ahead. That means regular blogging (insert big sigh from me here), updating flickr on a regular basis, creating a facebook fan page, and researching and utilizing many of the opportunities that can be found on the internet.

Started with a small step last night (took me until 2:00 am) creating a new banner for my shop and blog. Still haven't gotten the one for the blog quite right, but Katy was a big help. Thanks honey.

So now that I have put this in writing I am going to have to commit. Above are a few new things you can find at ImSoVintage. I am really finding some wonderful things here in Kentucky.Pin It
