How do you feel about a rainy day? Is it a good thing or a bad thing for you.? I woke up this morning to the sound of the rain pouring down on my roof and I immediately felt a sense of coziness. Can't wait to get up and put the kettle on for a cup of tea. I can remember when I was a child how much fun the rain could be. We would create dams in the running water in the gutters in front of my house and sail our little boats. Splashing in the puddles in your big old rain boots on the way to school was always great. I can remember riding my bike through town, in the rain and singing at the top of my lungs (Okay, I was pretty much of a nerd)

I hope you have a singing and dancing kind of day.

The rain is wonderful, I too woke up to rain here in the Nashville, TN area and your right it does make one want to snuggle in. Wish we could send some rain to Texas.
ReplyDeleteWe're waiting for you to send that rain, okay? Yesterday it rained for about 5 minutes and it was the major topic of conversation at choir practice last night! Several said that they went outside and stood in it. I'm just grateful for the cloud cover...it has cooled things off a little.
ReplyDeleteIf I can stay home, I love a rainy day--the sound of the rain on the roof, the fresh smell after the rain...A good excuse to stay inside to read or sew. But if I have to go to work or run errands, I don't like rainy days at all. I no longer enjoy splashing through puddles, I'm afraid.

Rainy days are usually OK. But today was so chilly, that I couldn't get warm. (I refuse to turn on the furnace this early!!)
