"I'm Singing in the rain, just singing in the rain....."


How do you feel about a rainy day? Is it a good thing or a bad thing for you.? I woke up this morning to the sound of the rain pouring down on my roof and I immediately felt a sense of coziness. Can't wait to get up and put the kettle on for a cup of tea. I can remember when I was a child how much fun the rain could be. We would create dams in the running water in the gutters in front of my house and sail our little boats. Splashing in the puddles in your big old rain boots on the way to school was always great. I can remember riding my bike through town, in the rain and singing at the top of my lungs (Okay, I was pretty much of a nerd)

Today is Thursday and it is usually my auction day, but the auction is Saturday this week so I think I will plan a rainy day itinerary today. After working the crossword, I'm going to get out that fabulous old wool blanket I bought and start making some pillow covers. I'll share those later. I have to go to UPS, but I think I'll splash in a few puddles on the way out to my van. (I'll try to keep the singing down to a minimum). As for the rest of the day. I think I'll do what I did as a child and just decide along the way.
