a bit of early Christmas shopping

Yesterday we pulled out all the Christmas boxes to start the holiday decorating. We have to start early , because there is so much it takes a couple of weeks to get it all done. Right now we have a huge mess, which I am getting ready to head downstairs to see. UGH!!! This is when I wish I had Samantha's powers in "Bewitched" so I could just wiggle my nose and it would be done. Oh well, it will be a Christmas wonderland when finished and so it will be worth the temporary mess and work.

It did start me thinking about Christmas decor (not that we need anymore) so I did a bit of perusing on Etsy early this morning to see what I could find. Lot's of good finds on there and here are a few, so throw another log on the fire and grab a cup of hot chocolate.

Christmas card holder

vintage wool throw

tiny mitten Christmas ornaments

red leather cowboy boots

textile flower spray in vintage bottle

glass tree ornaments

holiday felt trees

I love this "most wonderful time of the year". For me it is a time of magic, of wonder, of family and of spirituality. So over the next few weeks, I will be sharing lots of holiday magic. I hope you will join me in all of the fun.

Have a wondrous day.

  1. still in Florida..
    savoring this most wondrous season..
cooler temps on the less inhabitated beach..
    the most colorful of sunsets..
and the ever present love of family..
preparing first for the Thanksgiving Holiday..
heading Back to my other home in Denver..
there I will begin preps for our Christmas holidays in an entirely new world of beauty..
instead of sugary white sandy beaches,,I'll be in front of a warm glowing fire..watching the snow covered mountain tops glisten..
I have such a delightful world.. really the best of BOTH worlds...
    hugs..

  2. Good luck with your decorating! For the last couple of years, I have helped with my Mom's decorating, and it's like what you describe. Just keep you eye on the end goal; it will be worth it!
