frazzled me

Hello world, it's me, Laura. I'm here working away in my jammies this morning. Yes, I'm still in my jammies. Of course, it is nice that no one can see me here in my jammies, but the reason I am still in them is because I haven't had time to get dressed yet.

For all of you who work from home, I am sure you understand just what I'm talkin' about. Sometimes working at home can be even more difficult than going to a dedicated work place. There are those who think you are just hanging around having a grand old time at home, but I am here to tell you I want out of my pj's at some point today. I want makeup on my face and real clothes on my body.

Yes, I still had to load the dishwasher and clothes washer this morning, but I also had to haul boxes to the front porch to be picked up by USPS, answer all my emails ( which I haven't finished...SORRY) respond to ETSY convos...blah, blah, blah....

Do I love what I do?? Yes I seriously do, but occasionally, like today, when I am really behind, I just want to say help, let me off the train cause I am getting a wee bit dizzy.

Okay, I have had my meltdown moment. I have to leave for the auction in an hour so I guess I better get showered and dressed, because people might actually notice if I show up in my jammies and felted slippers.

Have a wonderful day, and for goodness sakes slow down and smell the coffee. I'm going to.

  4. I hear ya. It's a crazy time of year. Loved the Maxine cartoon!! I stayed up until 3:20 a.m. finishing a custom order, so that's exactly how I feel this morning!

  5. So true. I used to work from home for at an Accounting job and I would start working early in the morning before I had my shower and next thing I'd know it was Noon and I hadn't changed into regular clothes. Can't tell you how many times I had phone meetings and I hadn't even brushed my hair yet.
